Article Living Room

I'm completely and madly in love with my new furniture. So much so, I bought the matching loveseat! I mean really…it's velvet!
I don't know how it happened, I wasn't even looking, but one day my living room got a furniture makeover and I've had a smile on my face ever since. I have added 3 pieces of velvet furniture to my life, and I couldn't be more happy. Yes, you read that right, velvet. Velvet!
So now I'm officially obsessed with velvet, in particular my new velvet living room furniture. And I'm SO happy.

My Living Room Makeover
I never imagined having such beautiful furniture, especially furniture chosen and ordered on-line. But as soon as it arrived and was set up in my living room, I was smitten. Sidenote: You can upgrade from Article's standard $49 delivery to include set up and assembly of your new furniture in the room of your choice for $169. It's really nice to have someone do the set up and assembly for you…this just means you get to enjoy your new purchase quicker!
But how can you have velvet with a dog and kids, you ask!? Don't worry, it is not a problem. These couches are made for living, and everyone is allowed on them…including the dog. I tried to be strong and say Molly was never going to step foot on my new couches, but then life rolls along, and the next thing you know the dog has secured a spot on the loveseat, and you're left wondering how the heck that happened. Honestly though, I'm not bothered…our house is for living. We live here. Also, I could see that these couches were built for real life. They may be the most gorgeous pieces of furniture I've ever owned, but they are also practical. (And the velvet is surprisingly easy to clean.)
Let's talk about how comfortable this furniture is. The velvet is soft and luxurious, but still practical and perfect for my active and busy family of five. I am especially drawn to the tufted and deep, soft cushions. When I curl up in my spot on the sofa, I can fit my whole self up there with loads of room to spread out…it *may* even be wide enough to have a cozy nap…just sayin.
Of course what initially drew me to this furniture from Article, were the clean and modern lines of the sofas and chairs. The look is modern, yet it still fits into my semi-eclectic-farmhouse decor. I think that's what is so great about Article decor, it can fit into any style of home. With a few different accent pieces, the whole look can change in a minute. So if I get tired of the pink and eclectic-farmhouse look someday, I can easily switch things up with this furniture, it's so style-versatile.
And have I mentioned beautiful? Sigh.
I also did something a little different with our living space…I added a chair. And not just any chair, the Shadow Gray Matrix Chair. With it's clean lines and complimentary colour, I thought it would make a really cozy addition to the living room. Although I'm a little torn about having it here only because it looks amazing in our office, so it may find its way back in there later! But it's really easy to move around so when we have friends or family over, we can move it around and use it as extra seating.
I really like how my living space looks…I feel so grateful to have such gorgeous furniture.
